Traffic Island Beautification Policy

Did you know that the City will help you make the traffic islands more attractive?  The City adopted a resolution that allows the City to contribute up to $3,000 to help residents, neighborhoods, and/or garden clubs beautify the traffic islands or gateways they pass every day.  The island at Mountain Park Circle and Gaywood Circle are two examples of this joint effort.

If you have ideas for your favorite traffic island, contact Shanda Williams (williamssh@mtnbrook.org) at the Park and Recreation Department.  She will be able to help you develop the design and get approval from the designated committee and the City Council if necessary.
