Any position other than a general laborer has to be hired through the Personnel Board of Jefferson County, AL. You may learn more about the requirements or apply for these positions by going to the Personnel Board’s website at www.pbjcal.org and click on the employment tab. You must apply with the Personnel Board and qualify to be on their eligibility list before we have an opening within our department on most of these positions.
