Chief Cole started his career with Mountain Brook Fire Department in 1990. He has been promoted through the ranks, having held the ranks of Firefighter/Paramedic, Apparatus Operator, Lieutenant, Captain, Battalion Chief, and Deputy Chief. He has gained a variety of leadership experience serving as a Company Officer, Safety and Training Officer, Shift Commander and now as Chief of Emergency Operations.

Chief Rhudy began his career with the Mountain Brook Fire Department in 1999. 

He has served the department as a Firefighter/Paramedic, Apparatus Operator, Lieutenant and Battalion Chief. Chief Rhudy completed his paramedic training at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1999. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Athens State University in Public Safety and Health Administration.

Battalion Chief Kennedy began his fire service career with the Mountain Brook Fire Department in February of 1992.  He has a Bachelors Degree in Public Safety Administration from Athens State University (cum laude) and an Associate Degree in Fire Science from Jefferson State Community College.  He holds 15 different certificates from Alabama Fire College, has attended the National Fire Academy, and has attended several Fire Chief's Executive Development Programs.

Amy began her career with the City of Mountain Brook in 1995.  Her career path has allowed her to serve as an Administrative Assistant with the Fire Department and Human Resources Manager in the City’s Finance Department.   After retiring in 2020, she returned to the Fire Department to provide administrative services to the Administrative Staff and Firefighters affectionately known as “The Guys.”

Amy received her Associate Degree in Administrative Management Studies from Excelsior College and her Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration from Upper Iowa University.
