Mountain Brook City Hall will be closed to the public until further notice due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.  City administrative services shall continue by way of telephone, fax, email or the City’s website, www.mtnbrook.org, or P.O. Box 130009, Mountain Brook, AL, 35213. COVID-19 Testing Sites Near Mountain Brook:

Urgent Care for Children (520 Montgomery Hwy, Vestavia, AL. 35216) This site is testing only new-born to age 21. Hours: 2 pm-10 pm (Sat/Sun Hours: 10 am-8 pm) Hotline: 205-848-2273.

Alabama Department of Health's COVID-19 hotlines: There are TWO LINES - one is for testing sites and the other is for questions:

  • For testing sites and hours of operation, call the Alabama COVID-19 24/7 hotline at 1-888-264-2256.
  • For general COVID-19 questions, call 1-800-270-7268 or email covid19info@adph.state.al.us. Telephone calls are answered from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. 

UAB Downtown COVID-19 Testing Site: 

On Monday, March 23, 2020 those who think they need a test can call 205-975-1881 between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m. to schedule an appointment. Those who have COVID-19 symptoms or may have been in contact with someone who has the novel coronavrius can call and be screened by a medical provider. The provider will schedule an appointment time if the caller does have COVID-19 symptoms.

Patients MUST make an appointment in order to receive a test. Patients will be seen from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. seven days a week.

AFC TeleCare Hotline

In response to the healthcare crisis, American Family Care has launched the AFC TeleCare Hotline. This

call command center will allow physicians to screen patients for possible coronavirus

infection and other urgent illnesses prior to going in-person to a medical facility. If you or

someone you know is experiencing symptoms, please call us today at 888-881-1048 or
