Updates

• Construction of the culvert was finalized allowing for the completion of Jemison Lane, which now connects with Montevallo Road. 
• In late 2017, Regions Bank opened its new branch at 2721 Culver Road.
• Swoop is now located at 251 Rele Street. Be sure to check out this fun space!
• Mary Swanson, a Mountain Brook native, opened her Atlanta-based women’s boutique, Tulipano at 230 Rele Street.   

Future Plans

• Specializing in authentic Neapolitan pizza, Midici is coming to 279 Rele Street.  Construction has begun, and should be complete by late summer.
• Demolition of the remaining shopping center, from Rite Aid to Dandelion, will begin in July of this year.
• Parallel to demolition, construction will begin on the parking area and landscape behind Regions Bank.
• Construction of Retail Phase 2 will begin this year, with a projected completion date sometime late 2019.

Updates

• Beginning July 2, a temporary fence will be installed around the existing buildings and parking lot to be demolished.  The fence will remain throughout phase II construction.  This will prevent access to the parking lot on Culver.
• Treadwell customers will have a dedicated lot during phase II of construction
• Demolition for Retail Phase II will begin August 1, 2018.
• Midici, located at 279 Rele St, hopes to be open to the public by the end of July.
• A tentative schedule for Retail Phase II lists completion of the buildings in August 2019, tenants will have 60 days to occupy their space, and a Grand Opening is slated for October 1, 2019. 

The City Council approved the Lane Parke PUD on  May 21, 2012.

Lane Parke is the proposed redevelopment of the Evans property in Mountain Brook Village, better known as the Western Shopping Center and the Park Lane Apartments. The proposed planned unit development (PUD) includes a mixture of retail, dining, residences, and a boutique hotel. 

The City Council approved the Lane Parke PUD on May 21, 2012.
