Mayor’s Message...
When the City of Mountain Brook was founded in 1942, it was built on one guiding principle — to provide the essential services needed for a productive, healthy, and connected community. More than eighty years later, that same purpose drives your mayor, city council, administrators, and civil servants every day.
Transparency and open communication are central to how we serve you. We want every resident to have clear, easy access to information about city projects, policies, and decisions. Our city website is a valuable resource — a one-stop hub where you can explore everything from council agendas and meeting minutes to upcoming events, service updates, and contact information for every city department.
Just as importantly, each city council member — and I, as your mayor — are here to listen, answer questions, and respond directly to your concerns. We encourage every resident to stay informed and engaged, whether by attending meetings, reaching out with ideas, or signing up for text updates by texting MOUNTAINBROOK to 91896.
Mountain Brook thrives when its residents take part in shaping its future. Together, through openness and active communication, we’ll continue to build a city we can all be proud to call home.
Your Mayor,
~Graham Smith
