Chief Chris Mullins began his career with the Mountain Brook Fire Department in 1996. He was assigned to an ALS Engine Company where he served the department as a firefighter and paramedic. Chris was promoted to Lieutenant in 2002, to Captain in 2006, and to Fire Battalion Chief in 2008. He currently serves as the Emergency Medical Services Division Director.

Chris completed his paramedic training at the University of Alabama in Birmingham in 1991. He earned an Associates degree in Fire Service Management from Shelton State Community College, a Bachelor of Science degree from Athens State University in Public Administration and a Masters degree in Emergency Management from Jacksonville State University.
