  1. Approval of Minutes:   January 17, 2017
  2. Case A-16-42:  Mary Ponder Porter, owner, requests variances from the terms of the Zoning Regulations to allow additions to an existing single family dwelling to be 14 feet from the side property line (northeast) in lieu of the required 15 feet.  - 3636 Mountain Park Drive.  (Extension request original approval on September 19, 2016)
  3. Case A-16-39:  Susan Pitts, owner, requests variances from the terms of the Zoning Regulations to allow a detached accessory building to be 14.6 feet from the secondary front property line (Vine Street) in lieu of the required 35 feet, 12.3 feet from the side property line (west) in lieu of the required 12.5 feet, and 8 feet from the rear property line (alley) in lieu of the required 25 feet.  Also, to be 1036 square feet in area in lieu of the maximum allowed 800 square feet. - 23 Dexter Avenue.  (Extension request original approval on August 15, 2016)  
  4. Case A-17-02:  Elizabeth-Anne Ronk, owner, requests a variance from the terms of the
    Zoning Regulations to allow a detached accessory building to be 8 feet from the side property line (north) in lieu of the required 15 feet. 3808 Buckingham Place.

  5. Case A-17-04:  Lindsey & Richard Meadows, owners, request a variance from the terms of the Zoning Regulations to allow additions to an existing single family dwelling to match the existing secondary front setback (Cambridge Road) 15 feet from the northeast property line in lieu of the required 40 feet.  2528 Heathermoor Road.
  6. Case A-17-05:  Kaye McWane, owner, requests a variance from the terms of the Zoning Regulations to allow a detached accessory building in the front yard, in lieu of the requirement to be behind the front building line.  4240 Caldwell Mill Road.
  7. Case A-17-06 (Revised):  Mr. & Mrs. Murray Smith, owners, request a variance from the terms of the Zoning Regulations to allow the construction of additions to an existing single family dwelling to be 5 feet from the rear property line (north) in lieu of the required 25 feet and to allow an associated decrease in lot coverage from 32% to 31% in lieu of the maximum allowable lot coverage of 25%. - 2004 Garden Place Drive. WITHDRAWN BY APPLICANT
  8. Case A-17-07:  Ernie & Lydia Cowart, owners, request a variance from the terms of the Zoning Regulations to allow additions to be 10.4 feet from the rear property line (south) in lieu of the required 35 feet.  5 Norman Drive.

NOTICE

Any variance which is granted today expires and becomes null and void six months from today unless construction is begun in less than six months from today on the project for which the variance is granted. If construction will not be started within six months from today, the applicant may come back in five months and ask for a six-months extension, which the Board normally grants.

Any variance which is granted, regardless of the generality of the language of the motion granting the variance, must be construed in connection with, and limited by, the request of the applicant, including all diagrams, plats, pictures and surveys submitted to this Board before and during the public hearing on the variance application.
