Assistant to the City Manager
Janet Forbes began her new role as Assistant to the City Manager with the City of Mountain Brook on January 25, 2016. She provides all aspects of support to the City Manager, Mayor and City Council. She is responsible for special projects for the City Manager and sits on the Safety Committee.
Janet comes to us from Advance Central Services Southeast (AL.com/The Birmingham News) where she served as Human Resources Assistant. She received her Society for Human Resources Management-Certified Professional certification (SHRM-CP), is a member of the Birmingham Society of Human Resources Management, and is a member of the Alabama City-County Management Association. She is a lifelong resident of Mountain Brook and has been involved in various non-profit associations, schools and church organizations.
Janet received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Marketing from Auburn University in 1985. She is married with 2 children.
