 Robert "Zeke" Ezekiel, MPPM Fire Chief E-Mail
Professional Background: Zeke started his career with the Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service as a firefighter in 1973 and worked his way through the ranks to Chief Officer. He proudly accepted the opportunity to serve as Fire Chief for the City of Mountain Brook in 1993.
Education: Chief Ezekiel received his Associates degree in Fire Science from Jefferson State Community College, his Bachelor's of Science degree in Public Safety Administration from Athens State University, and his Master's degree in Public Sector/Private Sector Management (MPPM) from Birmingham Southern College. Chief Ezekiel is additionally a graduate of the Executive Fire Officer Program (EFOP) from the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg, Maryland.
Civic Interests: Chief Ezekiel was a member of the 2002-2003 Leadership Birmingham Class. Zeke is past president of the Board of Directors of the Family Skills Center, a non-profit organization whose mission is to negate child abuse. He is a current member and past president of the Mountain Brook Exchange Club. He is past president of the Alabama Association of Fire Chiefs and holds membership in the International Association of Fire Chiefs, Southeastern Association of Fire Chiefs, and locally the Central Alabama Fire Chiefs Association. Additionally, he has served as chairman of the Alabama Joint Fire Council. Zeke additionally serves as a member of the advisory council of the Fire Science Program at Jefferson State Community College.
