Jerry began his employment with the City in 1984.  His duties include supervising the Building Inspections Department and examining plans for contractors, architects, and engineers for issuance of building permits. He also ensures compliance with the sign ordinance, zoning ordinance, verifies flood zones, subdivision regulations, storm water management, communications tower ordinance and business licenses.  In addition, he is responsible for overseeing the inspections of facilities and demolished buildings to ensure that they are rid of asbestos.
 
Jerry, a Master Mason, is married and has two sons and one grandson.  He has a distinguished military service record, having received one Bronze Star and three Purple Heart awards for his service in the Vietman War.
