Our driving force and most valuable resource is a dedicated group of sixty-three highly trained fire and emergency medical personnel who function on a continuous schedule of twenty-four hours a day, three-hundred-sixty-five days a year. W. Glenn Sigler, Battalion Chief "A" Shift Battalion Commander E-mail
Chief Sigler began his fire service career with Mountain Brook Fire Department in June of 1985. He has a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from East Texas Baptist University in Marshall, TX and an Associate Degree in Fire Science from Jefferson State Community College. He holds a number of certificates from the State Fire College and the National Fire Academy.

Joe Jones, Battalion Chief "B" Shift Battalion Commander E-mail
Joseph Jones has served the citizens of Mountain Brook for over 30 years. He commands and directs all fire fighting, emergency medical service, and other related emergency operations within the area of the City on his assigned shift. He also manages the emergency programs within our City and reports directly to the Fire Chief.
Joe has a bachelor of science degree from the University of Alabama Birmingham and an associate degree from Jefferson State Junior College where he finished with honors. He received his paramedic training from UAB. Joe is the fire department’s chaplain and is a member of the Alabama Chaplains Association and the Alabama Association of Fire Chiefs. He volunteers as a Chaplain for an assisted living community, is a Honduran mission volunteer for the United Methodist Conference of North Alabama, and leads a Bible study at a local homeless shelter.

Timothy Wooten, Battalion Chief "C" Shift Battalion Commander E-mail
Chief Tim Wooten began his career in the fire service in 1992. In 1998 he had the opportunity to join the ranks of the Mountain Brook Fire Department, serving in the capacity of firefighter/paramedic. He was promoted to apparatus operator in 2003, lieutenant in 2006 and to battalion chief in 2010. Tim is currently serving as Battalion Chief over "C" Shift Operations.
Tim completed his paramedic training in 1990 at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and holds many certifications in various fire and EMS related training from the Alabama Fire College in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg, Maryland. He is currently working towards completing his degree in fire science from Columbia Southern University in Orange Beach, Alabama.
Tim is a lifelong resident of Jefferson County, Alabama. He currently lives in Mount Olive with with wife Anne and their children Cole, Allyson, and Aylssa.
Tim's hobbies and activities include hunting, fishing, and youth sports with his children.
