Doris Kenny CPS/CAP is Executive Assistant to the City Manager and City Council and has worked for the City since November 2000. With 30+ years work experience in the business world, the past 25 years have been served in the Birmingham area in executive assistant level positions.

Doris is an active member in the Birmingham Chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP) where she has served as President and on the Board as well as chaired various committees. She was selected as the IAAP 2004 Alabama Division Administrative Professional of the Year and recognized as a 2005 Distinguished Chapter President. She earned her Certified Professional Secretary (CPS) rating in 1995 and her Certified Administrative Professional (CAP) certification in 2002.

In December 2005, Doris completed the Administrative Assistant Associate Degree program as a Madison Area Technical College (MATC) online student. In November 2003, she was accepted as a member of the MATC chapter of Phi Theta Kappa honor society.
